U prvom njujorškom provizornom laboratoriju - drive-through laboratoriju na Staten Islandu, samo je jedno pravilo - ne otvarajte prozore svoga vozila dok ne dobijete dozvolu.

"U postupku koji traje samo dvije sekunde uzmu bris nosa", kaže Muhamed Qureshi (44) koji je na testiranje stigao sa suprugom Rubab Abid (38).

"Zona testiranja je ograđena, ali to je u redu. Rekli su da ćemo rezultate dobiti za dva do tri dana. Dobro se osjećamo no radimo u trgovini a supruga je dijabetičar pa smo se željeli testirati".

Pred laboratorijem je na bolničkom parkingu kolona automobila, a medicinske sestre u zaštitnim odijelima i vizirima uzimaju podatke kako bi visoko rizični pacijenti i oni sa simptomima dobili prioritet.

Slične laboratorije uspostavljaju i drugi američki gradovi.
