U znak sjećanja na poginule 11. rujna, čak 88 reflektora zasvjetlit će u nedjelju navečer nebo iznad New Yorka

ZAGREB - Uoči desete obljetnice 11. rujna, terorističkog napada na New York radovi su u punom jeku.

Radnici danonoćno postavljaju 88 reflektora koji će obasjavati nebo u blizini World Trade Centra u spomen na poginule u napadu.

Reflektori se pale u nedjelju navečer na samu obljetnicu i gorjet će sve do jutra. Svjetlost zraka duga je čak 96 kilometara.

U nedjelju će se također otvoriti Nacionalni memorijalni centar (Memorial & Museum World Trade Center) koji je dizajnirao pobjednički tim Michael Arad i Peter Walker.

Centar je postavljen na mjestu negadašnjem World Trade Centra. Sadrži dva, 15 metara duboka bazena s fontanama. U muzeju će biti izložene fotografije koje će podsjećati na bolan napad.
