TAJNA DOBROG ZDRAVLJA

Prehrana kralja Charlesa: Sve namirnice moraju biti sezonske i organske, a jedan obrok preskače

8th September 2010. The Prince of WalesŐs START Initiative Đ a National Tour continues. The Prince of Wales meets community volunteers, market traders and local residents during a visit to see the achievements of the Incredible Edible Todmorden initiative, Todmorden, West Yorkshire. The entire town runs a sustainable community project, Incredible Edible, where residents grow produce in their allotments, window boxes, gardens and workplaces. All of the produce is shared by the local community. Incredible Edible Todmorden was set up two years ago and aims to increase the amount of local food grown and eaten in the town. Businesses, schools, farmers and the community are all involved. Vegetables and fruit are springing up everywhere and public flower beds are being transformed into community herb gardens and vegetable patches. Todmorden was identified by the Sustainable Development Commission as one of their ÔbreakthroughŐ projects. HRH will also visit the community market where all the groceries for sale are grown or produced in the local area. Here, Prince Charles is offered a marrow that Pauline Mularkey (a member of the Incredible Edible team) grew herself and picked just this morning. The Prince was heard to ask ‘what am I going to do with this?‘ and then put it under his arm.,Image: 78858541, License: Rights-managed, Restrictions:, Model Release: no, Credit line: Ken Goff/Goff Photos/Profimedia
